El Potrero Chico, located in northern Mexico, is a world-renowned destination for limestone sport climbing. With an impressive range of routes—especially its iconic multi-pitch climbs rated from 5.8 to 5.14—it’s a true playground for climbers of all levels.

We maintain a 2:1 client to guide ratio even on single pitch climbing days to ensure that you get the best personalized instruction and peak quality guiding.

Itinerary

Pre-Trip Call - This is where we schedule a time to chat to make sure everything will go well. We'll go over details of plans, routes, your personal goals, and have everything dialed in for your arrival in Mexico.

Day 1 - You'll arrive in Monterrey, Mexico and get transported to climbing heaven to get checked in to your accommodations. We'll make a stop for food and snacks along the way as well.

Day 2 - Climbing time! We'll start off with some single pitch climbing to get to know each other and check out some of the amazing rock around EPC.

Day 3 - Towers! Las Agujas aka The Spires. We'll check out some spires, climb more great limestone and get some views.

Day 4 - After looking at the awe-inspiring Outrage Wall from the spires, we'll head over there to climb on the awesome steep jugs, pockets, and tufas.

Day 5 - For our final day of climbing, we'll head to the classic Jungle Wall for some bigger multi-pitch climbs.

Day 6 - Time to pack things up and head back to the airport unless you've extended with additional booked climbing days. Transportation will depend on your flight.

If you're interested in staying longer for additional days of multi-pitch climbing, skills building, or anything else, we're happy to accommodate. We even have the option of checking out some other nearby areas such as El Salto and the Cumbia Cave.
